Ball of fur on stilts
Rolled over,belly up in
stretched lazy slumber

Shell

Here's to undying friendships trancending long distances and the abuse of time.
Accumulating the mileage of college years and the question mark beyond.
Profuse with relationships, graduations, marraiges, and careers.
Punctuated at crises with the rapid press of the speed dial.
Yakking endlessly. Serious and Devastating or Vaporous Silliness.

Brandished with each's extensive pasts
Irrevocable link and understanding formed of such.
Rollar coaster moments splashed in
Tumultous high's and low's.
Hurried lives and schedules may now lead to conversations
Dwindling over these years.
And still you're always my nearest and dearest, always my confidant....
Yesteryear and for decades to come.

Shell!

You and I
sat on soft seating and haziness hung heavily

You proceded to trickle your contents
and it was a half relief
as you were seemingly bursting at the seams
Your foam filled innards poking out from between the sky blue stitching crisscrossing the charcoal gray linen.

Your rag-tag-thread-for-eyes glistened

You debated shovelling
out the insanity of your brain

And then softly declined

Another day maybe.
